Abstract

A method and a user device () for authentication of the user device () as well as a method and an authenticator device () for authentication of the user device () are disclosed. The user device () generates (A) a one-time password. The user device () sends (A), to an authenticator device (), the one-time password as an acoustic signal, wherein the acoustic signal comprises a frequency within an ultrasound range or an infrasound range. The authenticator device () receives (A), from the user device (), the one-time password. The authenticator device () validates (A) the one-time password.
