Abstract

The invention relates to a physiological parameter monitoring device () comprising a first contact lens element () having an inner surface () and an outer surface () opposite the inner surface (), a second contact lens element () having an inner surface () and an outer surface () opposite the inner surface (), wherein the first contact lens element () and the second contact lens element () are attached to one another at a peripheral attachment area (), thereby enclosing an intermediate space (), and further comprising a passive sensing means () forming a resonant circuit for detecting variations of said physiological parameter, wherein the passive sensing means () is provided only in or on the first contact lens element ().
