Abstract

This core-shell composite () is provided with a core () formed from a porous carbon body having a large number of pores from the interior through to the surface, and a shell layer () formed from conductive polymer nanorods () that extend outward from the cavities of the pores () on the surface of the core. The present invention provides the core-shell composite (), to which electrolyte ions can be efficiently adsorbed or doped, a method for producing the core-shell composite, as well as an electrode material, a catalyst, an electrode, a secondary battery and an electric double-layer capacitor that use the core-shell composite.
