Abstract
Horizontal adiabatic reactor () for heterogeneous catalytic reactions, comprising an outer cylindrical shell (), an inlet () for reagent gases and an outlet () for gaseous products, a basket () containing a catalytic bed () positioned horizontally inside said reactor, wherein said reactor is configured in such a way that the gases cross said catalytic bed in a radial or axial-radial manner, said shell () has a cover () which can be opened and which defines an opening (), and said basket () is extractable horizontally from said opening.
