Abstract

A basketball performance monitoring system sensor comprising a sensor housing coupled to a basketball goal proximate a net. The housing has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The housing includes an arm proximate the second end and is configured extendable inside the net. A U-shaped appendage is located between the first end and the second end. The U-shaped appendage is configured to couple to the net; wherein the sensor is configured to sense a ball impact vibration and/or an angular orientation responsive to a basketball passing over the arm.
