Abstract

A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a fluoride ion battery in which reduction decomposition of a solid electrolyte is inhibited. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a fluoride ion battery, comprising a cathode layer, an anode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer formed between the cathode layer and the anode layer; wherein the anode layer contains an anode active material having a composition represented by LaSnF, in which 0.1≤x≤0.8; and the solid electrolyte layer contains a solid electrolyte including a crystal phase of a Tysonite structure.
