Abstract
A system for a vehicle comprises a processor, programmed to responsive to receiving a manifest from a server, perform an over-the-air (OTA) software update while traveling along a route, wherein the manifest is generated remotely by the server using business rules designated by a manufacturer, predicted network connectivity speeds along the route, and estimated time to download the OTA software update.
