Abstract
A rotorof a centrifugehaving a rotor axis R, a receiving spacefor samples to be centrifuged, a lidwhich limits the receiving spaceat the top, which is concentrically mounted relative to the rotor and which has, on its side remote from the receiving space, a handlefor carrying the rotor and the lid, and a locking mechanism of lidand rotor, which mechanism is mounted in a supportin the lid, said locking mechanismcomprising a locking elementadapted to be movable between a locking position and an unlocking position and which has an actuating memberand a latching element, with the actuating memberand the latching elementbeing axially spaced from each other relative to the rotor axis R. The invention is characterized in that the locking elementis formed by a tilt lever which has the actuating membermounted on its upper end and the latching elementmounted on its lower end, with its pivot axis being aligned perpendicular to the rotor axis R.
