Abstract
The invention relates to a method and a media handling unit () for switching from forwarding a first media stream to forwarding a second media stream to a media recipient () in a VoIP based communications network. According to the invention, the first and second media streams are buffered in memory () prior to switching, providing slack time to allow switching without disturbance.
