Abstract

An optoelectronic sensor () for detecting objects comprises a light transmitter () for transmitting a light beam (), a rotatable deflection unit () for periodically deflecting the light beam (), an angle measuring unit () for determining an angular position of the deflection unit (), a light receiver () for generating a reception signal from a reflected light beam (), wherein the angle measuring unit () comprises an image sensor () moving with the deflection unit and arranged in the direction of a stationary part () of the sensor (), or a stationary image sensor () arranged in the direction of the deflection unit (), further comprising a computing unit () to determine a relative movement of the deflection unit () with respect to the sensor () from a signal of the image sensor ().
