Abstract

An antenna including: an array of individually-controllable elementary cells, each cell being capable of transmitting a radio signal by introducing into the signal a controllable phase shift selected from among at least two discrete phase-shift values; on the side of a first surface of the array, first, second, third, and fourth primary sources capable of respectively irradiating first, second, third, and fourth consecutive quadrants of the array; and a processing circuit capable of supplying a first signal representative of the sum of the signals S, S, S, and Ssupplied, respectively, by the first, second, third, and fourth sources, a second output signal representative of difference S+S−S−S, and a third output signal representative of difference S−S−S+S
