Abstract

The invention relates to a method () for orientation of a workpiece () to be processed, comprising the steps of: a) providing a processing path () fixed on the workpiece for processing the workpiece (); b) selecting a rigid transformation () of the positioning of the workpiece (); c) simulating the processing path () taking account of the rigid transformation () of the positioning of the workpiece (); d) determining at least one process variable () of the machining of the workpiece (); wherein the steps b) to d) are repeated by modifying the at least one rigid transformation () of the positioning of the workpiece () until the at least one process variable () reaches a target value ().
