Abstract

A method and system for testing a pumping device () with a control unit () in a gas-measuring system (). The pumping device () is tested with the control unit (), which is configured to test readiness of the pumping device () to operate. An initialization data set and an operating data set are used for the testing. An indicator of readiness of the pumping device () to operate is determined based on this.
