Abstract

A reactant release arrangement for an exhaust gas stream of an internal combustion engine has an exhaust gas guide element () with an exhaust gas flow duct (). A reactant release body () extends into the exhaust gas flow duct () and has a reactant-receiving volume () with a wall inner surface () and a wall outer surface () of a body wall () that is open to the exhaust gas flow duct () via at least one passage opening (). Exhaust gas (G) flowing in the exhaust gas flow duct () flows around the reactant release body () at a wall outer surface () of the body wall (). A reactant release unit () releases reagent (M) into the reactant-receiving volume (). A heating device () is associated with an area of the inner surface () of the body wall () and heats the reactant release body ().
