Abstract

An upright vacuum cleaner () includes a brushroll assembly () having a brushroll casing () and a brushroll (); a motor assembly () having a motor housing () and a motor (); a body assembly () having a body () and a bridging member (), in which the bridging member () is pivotally connected to the motor housing () to make the body () rotatable between an upright position and an oblique position; and an elastic assembly () provided between the brushroll casing () and the bridging member (), and configured to be pressed downward against the brushroll casing () by the bridging member () when the body () rotates from the upright position to the oblique position.
