Abstract
A method () of controlling a luminaire () adapted to generate a light output () in a controllable direction with a user interface device () is disclosed. The method comprises determining () a relative orientation of the user interface device to the luminaire; receiving () a light output positioning instruction on a user interface () of the user interface device, said light output positioning instruction including directional information for the positioning of the light output in a specified location; converting () the light output positioning instruction by transforming the directional information based on the determined relative orientation; and transmitting () the converted light output positioning instruction to the luminaire. A computer program product, user interface device and lighting system employing this method are also disclosed.
