According to certain embodiments, a method in a first wireless device (A) comprises determining () an intended pilot sequence that the first wireless device (A) intends to send to an access node (), determining (-) whether another wireless device (B;N) is using a similar pilot sequence, and transmitting () the intended pilot sequence to the access node () in a next available time instance in response to a determination that another wireless device (B,N) is not using the similar pilot sequence.
