Abstract

A battery state detecting device () includes a shunt resistor (), a post connection terminal (), a harness connection terminal (), a circuit board (), and a connector (). The post connection terminal () is electrically connected to a battery post () of a battery (). The harness connection terminal () is electrically connected to a harness (). The circuit board () detects current flowing in the shunt resistor (). The connector () outputs a result of the detection made by the circuit board (). The post connection terminal () is arranged next to the circuit board () in a thickness direction of the circuit board (). On one side of the circuit board () in the thickness direction thereof, at least part of a post connecting portion (), which is a part of the post connection terminal () connected to the battery post (), is arranged within a space between the harness connection terminal () and the connector ().
