Abstract
The disclosure relates to a pressure release valve (). The pressure release valve may be suitable for use as an oil recovery valve. In one embodiment, the pressure release valve may comprise a piston () and tube () configured to slide within a valve body, wherein the piston is configured to remain sealingly engaged with the tube until the pressure release valve fully activates. Upon activation, the piston may disengage from the tube, thereby allowing fluid to escape from the valve through the tube.
