Abstract

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide methods and apparatus for triggering beamforming for a wireless device. For example, an apparatus for wireless communications generally includes a processing system configured to monitor one or more parameters associated with a link between the apparatus and a wireless device, and update a schedule for performing beamforming training with the wireless device based at least in part on the one or more parameters. The apparatus may further include at least one interface configured to exchange frames between the apparatus and the wireless device as part of the beamforming training performed according to the schedule that is updated.
