Abstract
An offshore wind turbine generator comprises a towerand a platform. The toweris provided with a side dooraccessed from the platformusing a stairwayleading to an upper platform. The upper platformis formed from the upper surface of a cabinetwhich houses a diesel backup generator. Both the backup generator and the cabinetare mounted to the towerby bolts, such that the cabinet and backup generator are fully supported by the tower. A diesel fuel tankis also mounted to the towerby bolts. The fuel tank supplies diesel fuel to the backup generator.
