Abstract
A high refraction low dispersion optical glass, the components thereof including, by weight percentage: BO: 1-30%; SiO: 0-20%; LaO: 25-55%; GdO: 5-40%; YO: 0-25%; YbO: 0-10%; TaO: 0-10%; NbO: 1-30%; TiO: 0-10%; ZrO: 0.5-20%; WO: 0-10%; ZnO: 0-15%; RO: 0-10%; RO: 0-10%; AlO: 0-10%; GeO: 0-10%; BiO: 0-10%. A high refraction low dispersion environmentally friendly optical glass having excellent light transmittance may be obtained by reducing the TaOcontent within the glass components and introducing suitable amounts of rare earth oxide components having a high refraction low dispersion effect.
