Abstract

A hydraulic devicecomprises a first membermovable relative to a second member. In such a device the risk of cavitation noise and cavitation damage should be minimized. To this end said first memberhaving a pressure chamberopening in a faceof said first memberwhich faceis in contact with a contact faceof said second member, said second memberhaving a low pressure area, wherein a throttling flow path is provided in a grooveconnecting said pressure chamberand said low pressure areawhen pressure chamberis approaching said low pressure area, characterized in that a throttling resistance of said grooveincreases in a direction of the flow through said groove
