Abstract
An anchoring system for anchoring a tool () in a downhole tubular element () comprises: —an anchor () having a central body () connected to, or integrally formed with, the tool (); —a slip element () radially movable relative to the central body () between a retracted and an expanded position against the inner surface of the tubular element (), —a primary spring () for moving the slip element to the expanded position; —a control device comprising a stop member () against which the slip element () is pushed by the primary spring (); and —a secondary spring () acting on the stop member () to move each slip element () to its retracted position.
