Abstract

A surgical implant comprises an areal, flexible, mesh-like basic structure () including a knitted fabric made in gallon crotcheting technique, in which mesh pores () are formed from chains () made in closed pillar stitch. Adjacent chains (') are connected to each other, by at least one inlaying weft thread (), in sections forming a respective common side () of two adjacent mesh pores (′).
