Abstract

The multi-parametric environmental diagnostics and monitoring sensor node () provides monitoring and diagnostics of a variety of different ambient environmental factors and is powered by multiple sources of renewable energy. The multi-parametric environmental diagnostics and monitoring sensor node () includes a base () and a plurality of environmental condition sensors () mounted thereon. A controller () is also mounted on the base (), the plurality of environmental condition sensors () being in communication therewith. An external photovoltaic cell () is mounted to the base and an internal photovoltaic cell () is mounted in an opposed orientation on a cover (). The external photovoltaic cell () and the internal photovoltaic cell () charge a power storage module (), which powers the plurality of environmental condition sensors () and the controller ().
