Abstract
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine whether at least one frequency band, designated for device-to-device communication of the user equipment, is associated with an active SCC of the user equipment; and selectively perform the device-to-device communication using a particular communication chain of the user equipment based at least in part on whether the at least one frequency band is associated with the active SCC, wherein the particular communication chain is tuned to the at least one frequency band for communication using the active SCC.
