Abstract
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a forwarding entry establishment method for a VXLAN. A data center of the VXLAN includes a first layergateway device, a second layergateway device, and a first layergateway device separately connected to the first layergateway device and the second layergateway device. The first layergateway device is connected to a first host. The method includes: establishing, by the first layergateway device by using an exclusive IP address, an exclusive MAC address, and an exclusive VTEP identifier, a forwarding entry used for communication with the first host. In the embodiments of the disclosure, when one host directly communicates with a plurality of layergateway devices, a forwarding entry used for communication between the layergateway devices and the host is correctly established.
