Abstract
An ink set for ink-jet recording includes an achromatic color ink containing potassium ion and at least one of lithium ion and sodium ion; and a chromatic color ink containing at least one selected from the group consisting of: the potassium ion, the lithium ion and the sodium ion, wherein the ink set satisfies Condition (X): K/(Li+Na+K)>0.7, and Condition (Y): K/(Li+Na+K)<0.6.
