Abstract

A dome-type camera includes a dome cover () and a camera unit (). The dome cover () has a front surface () and a back surface (). The camera unit () includes an optical system () and an imaging element (). The optical system () is disposed on the back surface () side of the dome cover (), and the imaging element () outputs image data on the basis of imaging light received via the optical system (). At least the back surface () out of the front surface () and the back surface () of the dome cover () has at least an aspheric shape in which optical properties are continuously changed at a location other than a top t of the dome cover ().
