The transmitter connected to a source device includes a first reception unit for receiving display screen data of the source device, an encoder for encoding the display screen data received at the first reception unit, and a first transmission unit for transmitting the encoded data to a receiver using a real-time communication protocol, Here, the transmitter is a hardware device wired to the source device through a digital interface.
