Abstract
An apparatus (), system (), and method () for displaying an image (). Instead of using an expensive configuration of prisms () such as TIR prisms () or RTIR prisms () to direct light () to and from a DMD (), a plate () with transmissive (), reflective (), and/or polarization () characteristics is used. The plate () can be implemented in a wide variety of different embodiments using a wide variety of different components and configurations.
