Abstract
The flow speed of a fluid () flowing in a conduit () is measured using at least one ultrasonic transducer (a-b) that is attached to the conduit wall () from the outside The transducer (a-b) has an oscillating body () that couples to a part region () of the conduit wall () that acts as a membrane of the ultrasonic transducer (a-b) that can vibrate. A coupling piece () whose cross-section is smaller than the cross-section of the oscillating body () is arranged between the membrane () and the oscillating body ().
