Abstract
An example downhole power generation apparatus may include a turbine and a drive shaft coupled to the turbine. A plurality of alternators may be coupled to the drive shaft and electrically connected in parallel. When the drive shaft rotates, the plurality of alternators may generate phase-offset alternating current (AC) power signals. AC-to-direct current (DC) conversion circuitry may be coupled to the plurality of alternators.
