Abstract

A control system includes: an in-vehicle device; and electronic key, wherein the in-vehicle device includes a transmission device, a first operation detection device, and a first control device programmed to determine whether the electronic key is a control target electronic key, the electronic key used to perform a locking operation, and transmit a second signal from the transmission device toward the electronic key when it is determined that the electronic key used to perform the locking operation is the control target electronic key, and the electronic key includes a reception device, and a second control device programmed to set a first mode until the reception device receives the second signal, and set a second mode when the reception device receives the second signal.
