Abstract
A device control system has a terminalwith an application, and a printerthat controls a scanner, or other device. The terminalsends a request written in XML generated by the application. The printerreceives the XML request, and the terminalreceives an XML response. If the terminalrequested control of the scanner in the XML request, the terminal controls the scanner.
