Abstract
A novel iridium complex which can be applied in an organic electroluminescent light emitting device, an organic electrochemical light emitting device, or the like, and which is thermally stable and has excellent sublimabilities. An iridium complex characterized by being represented by General Formula (1) (in General Formula (1), Rto Rand R, R, and Rrepresent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group with 1 to 30 carbon atoms, an aryl group with 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a halogen atom, or a cyano group; R, Rto Rand Rrepresent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group with 1 to 30 carbon atoms, a halogen atom, or a cyano group; the alkyl group may be substituted with an aryl group, a halogen atom, or a cyano group; the aryl group may be substituted with an alkyl group, a halogen atom, or a cyano group; adjacent Rto Rmay bind to each other to form a condensed ring; and m is an integer of 1 or 2, n is an integer of 1 or 2, and m+n is 3).
