A filter assembly () and a cleaner having the same are provided. The filter assembly () includes a tank () and an air intake pipe (). The tank () is configured to accommodate a liquid therein and has an air inlet () and an air outlet (). The air intake pipe () is connected to the air inlet, has an air output end () located in the tank () and extending towards the liquid (A) or submerged in the liquid (A), and has a cross sectional area gradually increased along a fluid flow direction inside the air intake pipe ().
