Abstract

An organic electroluminescent element having high durability can be provided by using a compound represented by the following general formula (1), wherein: Zto Zeach represent a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom; Arepresents an atomic group which is combined with Zand a nitrogen atom to form a 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; Brepresents an atomic group which is combined with Zand a carbon atom to form a 5- or 6-membered ring; Crepresents an atomic group which is combined with Zand a nitrogen atom to form a 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; Drepresents an atomic group which is combined with Zand a carbon atom to form a 5- or 6-membered ring; n represents 1 or 2; L represents a single bond or a linking group; and G represents a fused ring with 3 or more rings.
