Abstract

The invention relates to an operating table column () for an operating table (), said operating table column comprising a basic body () and a column head () to which a patient support () may be connected. Further, the operating table column () comprises a first linear actuator () and a second linear actuator () which are independently adjustable for changing the position of the column head () relative to the basic body (). The first linear actuator () and the second linear actuator () each are oriented and arranged so as to perform an actuating motion in vertical direction when activated. The first linear actuator () is mechanically connected to the column head () via a first connecting area (), and the second linear actuator () is mechanically connected to the column head () via a second connecting area (). The column head () comprises a length adjustment assembly () through which the distance between the first connecting area () and the second connecting area () is changeable during an actuating motion of the first linear actuator () and/or the second linear actuator ().
