Abstract
An illuminated belt buckle for a seat belt device of a motor vehicle including a housing (), a push button () displaceable in the housing (), an insertion slot () delimited by an edge section () of the housing () and the push button () for insertion of a belt tongue that can be locked in the belt buckle, and at least one light-emitting surface (). The light-emitting surface () having a linear contour, the shape of which matches the shaping of a laterally positioned edge side () of the push button () when viewed toward the insertion slot ().
