A compound represented by the general formula (1) is useful as a light-emitting material. In the general formula (1), from 0 to 1 of Rto Rrepresents a cyano group, from 1 to 5 of Rto Rrepresent a group represented by the general formula (2) etc., and the balance of Rto Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or a substituent other than above.
