Abstract

The invention relates to a packing layer () for structured packing (), the packing layer () having a plurality of structural elements (), and the structural elements () being shaped and arranged in such a manner that they form a first fine structure (), and adjacent structural elements () having a first spacing (a), the packing layer () having a plurality of protrusions () that are shaped and arranged in such a manner that they form a second fine structure (), and adjacent protrusions () having a second spacing (b). According to the invention, the structural elements () and the protrusions () are formed without perforations.
