Abstract

This invention relates to an earpiece () for coupling a hearing aid () to the ear () of a hearing aid user, comprising a seal () conforming to the shape of the user's ear canal () and therein retained; wherein the seal () comprises a sound output bore () connected to a receiver () of the hearing aid (); and a multiplicity of through openings () spaced around the sound output bore (). The number of the openings () is comprised in a range of 50 to 2000; and the openings () have diameters in the range of 50 to 250 micrometers. The present invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such an earpiece ().
