Abstract

A conductive polymer layer of a electrolytic capacitor includes a conductive polymer and a polymer dopant. The polymer dopant includes; (A) a first unit originating from a first monomer having a polymerizable group and a sulfonate group; and (B) a second unit originating from a second monomer having a polymerizable group and a phosphorus-containing group. The phosphorus-containing group is represented by at least one of general formula (1); —P(═O)(OR)(OR), general formula (2); —PH(═O)(OR), and general formula (3); —PH(═O). In the general formulae (1) to (3), each of R, Rand Ris independently a hydrogen atom, a hydrophilic group, a Cto Calkyl group, or a cationic group.
