Abstract

The liquid crystal display panel includes: storage capacitors respectively provided for a plurality of pixels on a substrate; a plurality of storage capacitor linesarrayed in a column direction and each connected to corresponding ones of the storage capacitors, each storage capacitor linebelonging to one of N groups (where N is an integer equal to or greater than 2), such that every Nstorage capacitor linebelongs to an identical group; a plurality of branch linesarrayed in a row direction, each branch linebeing connected to more than one of the plurality of storage capacitor linesthat belong to an identical group; a plurality of trunk linestoat a column-direction edge of the substrate, each supplying an identical signal to a number of storage capacitor linesthat belong to one of the N groups via one or more of the plurality of branch lines; and a plurality of signal sending sectionseach being coupled to associated trunk lines among the plurality of trunk linesto. The associated trunk lines coupled to each of the plurality of signal sending sectionsinclude a plurality of subsections in each of which mutually different trunk lines are arrayed in the column direction; in each of the plurality of subsections, two or more of the plurality of branch linesthat are connected to storage capacitor linesbelonging to respectively different groups are connected to corresponding trunk lines, the two or more branch linesconstituting a unit that corresponds to the respective subsection; and for each of the plurality of signal sending sections, the plural units of the two or more branch linesthat are coupled thereto are respectively connected to storage capacitor linesbelonging to different sets of groups.
