Abstract
A circuit device includes a detection circuit adapted to output first through n-th detection data, and a serial interface adapted to output the first through n-th detection data as serial data. In the case in which i-th detection data (1≤i≤n) out of the first through n-th detection data is M bits, and j-th detection data (1≤j≤n, j≠i) is N bits (N<M), the serial interface outputs the serial data added with (M−N) complementary bits on an MSB side of the j-th detection data.
