Abstract

Disclosed in the present specification are: a skin whitening composition having a skin whitening effect by controlling the secretion of exosomes to be secreted from melanocytes; and a method for screening for materials having a skin whitening effect. The skin whitening composition can promote apoptosis of melanocytes by inhibiting the amount of secretion of exosomes to be secreted from melanocytes, and consequently inhibits the generation of melanin through the apoptosis of melanocytes, thereby exhibiting a skin whitening effect.
