Abstract
A lithium metal battery includes a lithium metal negative electrode; a positive electrode; and an electrolyte between the lithium metal negative electrode and the positive electrode, wherein the electrolyte includes a nonaqueous organic solvent, a lithium salt, and an inorganic additive, wherein the inorganic additive includes an inorganic oxide, and wherein the inorganic oxide includes at least one selected from a hydroxyl group and a C-Calkyl group attached to a surface of the inorganic oxide.
