Abstract
A terminal fitting () includes a body () in the form of a rectangular tube, a tab () of a mating terminal () being inserted into the body () from the front. A resilient contact piece () is accommodated in the body (). The tab () is sandwiched resiliently in a plate thickness direction thereof between the resilient contact piece () and a receiving plate () of the body (). Holding portions () are formed integrally to the resilient contact piece () and capable of holding the tab () with a relative displacement of the tab () in a width direction with respect to the resilient contact piece () restricted by coming into contact with side edges (S) of the tab ().
